Ministry of External Affairs Revises Passport Fee Structure; New Rates Take Effect
The Ministry of External Affairs has officially notified the revised fee structure for passport services and related travel documents vide notification dated June 25, 2026 (Passports Amendment Rules, 2026). The updated rates have come into effect starting July 1, 2026.
Key Fee Updates:
36-page Passport (Regular): ₹2,500 (previously ₹1,500)
36-page Passport (Tatkal): ₹5,000 (previously ₹3,500)
60-page Passport (Regular): ₹3,500 (previously ₹2,000)
60-page Passport (Tatkal): ₹6,000 (previously ₹4,000)
Police Clearance Certificate (PCC): ₹750 (previously ₹500)

വിദേശകാര്യ മന്ത്രാലയം ഔദ്യോഗികമായി പാസ്പോർട്ട് സേവനങ്ങൾക്കും അനുബന്ധ യാത്രാ രേഖകൾക്കുമുള്ള ഫീസ് ഘടന പരിഷ്കരിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് 2026 ജൂൺ 25-ലെ വിജ്ഞാപനം പുറത്തിറക്കി (2026 ലെ പാസ്പോർട്ട് ഭേദഗതി നിയമങ്ങൾ). പുതിയ നിരക്കുകൾ 2026 ജൂലൈ 1 മുതൽ പ്രാബല്യത്തിൽ വന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്.

Official Passport Fee Structure and Rates in Qatar
Based on the official notification from the Indian Embassy in Doha, here are the revised fee details for passport, travel documents, and miscellaneous services that came into effect on July 1, 2026:
I. Passport Fees (in Qatari Riyals – QAR)
(a) Adults (18 years and above, also applicable to minors aged between 15–18 years):
- 36-page Ordinary Passport (Fresh/Reissue): QAR 447 (Tatkal Fee: QAR 893)
- 60-page Ordinary Passport (Fresh/Reissue): QAR 625 (Tatkal Fee: QAR 1071)
- Ordinary Passport in lieu of lost/damaged containing 36 pages: QAR 893 (Tatkal Fee: QAR 1339)
- Ordinary Passport in lieu of lost/damaged containing 60 pages: QAR 1071 (Tatkal Fee: QAR 1518)
(b) Minor Applicant (below 18 years of age):
- 36-page Ordinary Passport (Fresh/Reissue): QAR 322 (Tatkal Fee: QAR 768)
- Ordinary Passport in lieu of lost/damaged containing 36 pages: QAR 768 (Tatkal Fee: QAR 1214)
- Fresh passport application (Newborn passport applications only): QAR 290 (Tatkal Fee: QAR 691)
II. Special Travel Document
- Emergency Certificate: QAR 54
- Certificate of Identity: QAR 179
III. Miscellaneous Services
- Issue of Police Clearance Certificate, Surrender Certificate, Global Entry Program verification, or any other miscellaneous certificates based on the Passport: QAR 143
Important Notes:
- ICWF Fee: An additional fee of QAR 7/- is to be paid for Indian Community Welfare Fund (ICWF) per service w.e.f. July 1, 2026.
- Discount: There shall be a discount of ten percent in passport fee for fresh applications (and not for re-issue) in respect of minors up to the age of 8 years and senior citizens (persons above the age of 60 years).

I. പാസ്പോർട്ട് ഫീസ് (ഖത്തറി റിയാലിൽ – QAR)
(എ) മുതിർന്നവർക്കും (18 വയസും അതിന് മുകളിലും) 15-നും 18-നും ഇടയിൽ പ്രായമുള്ള കുട്ടികൾക്കും:
- 36 പേജ് സാധാരണ പാസ്പോർട്ട് (Fresh/Reissue): QAR 447 (തത്കാൽ ഫീസ്: QAR 893)
- 60 പേജ് സാധാരണ പാസ്പോർട്ട് (Fresh/Reissue): QAR 625 (തത്കാൽ ഫീസ്: QAR 1071)

(ബി) പ്രായപൂർത്തിയാകാത്ത കുട്ടികൾ (18 വയസ്സിന് താഴെ):

III. മറ്റ് സേവനങ്ങൾ (Miscellaneous Services)
- പോലീസ് ക്ലിയറൻസ് സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് (PCC), സറണ്ടർ സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് മുതലായവ: QAR 143
പ്രത്യേക നിർദ്ദേശങ്ങൾ:
- ICWF ഫീസ്: ഓരോ സേവനത്തിനും പുറമെ ഇന്ത്യൻ കമ്മ്യൂണിറ്റി വെൽഫെയർ ഫണ്ടായി (ICWF) QAR 7/- കൂടി അധികമായി നൽകേണ്ടതാണ്.
- ഇളവുകൾ: 8 വയസ്സിന് താഴെയുള്ള കുട്ടികൾക്കും 60 വയസ്സിന് മുകളിലുള്ള മുതിർന്ന പൗരന്മാർക്കും പുതിയ പാസ്പോർട്ട് (Fresh Applications) അപേക്ഷകളിൽ 10% ഇളവ് ലഭിക്കുന്നതാണ് (റീ-ഇഷ്യൂ അപേക്ഷകൾക്ക് ഇത് ബാധകമല്ല).

നോട്ടീസ് പിരീഡ് നടപടി (Notice Period Completion): പഴയ കമ്പനിയുടെ ഭാഗത്തുനിന്ന് നോട്ടീസ് പിരീഡ് സീറോ (0) ആക്കി നടപടികൾ വേഗത്തിൽ പൂർത്തിയാക്കുന്നു.
അന്തിമ നടപടികൾ: ഈ മൂന്ന് ഘട്ടങ്ങൾ പൂർത്തിയായാൽ ലേബർ ഡിപ്പാർട്ട്മെന്റ് അപേക്ഷ പരിശോധിച്ച് അപ്പ്രൂവൽ നൽകുന്നു. തുടർന്ന് പുതിയ കമ്പനിയുടെ ഭാഗത്തുനിന്ന് ലേബർ കോൺട്രാക്ട് ഫീസും ട്രാൻസ്ഫർ ഫീസും അടച്ച് മാറ്റം പൂർത്തിയാക്കാവുന്നതാണ്.

യാത്രക്കാർ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കേണ്ട പ്രധാന വിവരങ്ങൾ:
രജിസ്ട്രേഷൻ: ഔദ്യോഗിക പോർട്ടൽ വഴി എല്ലാ യാത്രക്കാരും നിർബന്ധമായും രജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതാണ്.
